Senior Backend Engineer
Senior Backend Engineer
A Bit Lucky, Inc. is looking for a talented Senior Backend Engineer with a strong computer science background and ideally experience in online multiplayer games. You will be responsible for the development of our upcoming titles, as well as internal tools and integration of various 3rd party components. This is a highly visible position; you will work with a team of veteran game developers and your work will be seen on many platforms including PC, Mac and tablets! Relocation is available for exceptional candidates.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the development of our current and upcoming titles.
- Responsible for the development of critical user-facing features for multiplayer games, including a game lobby, matchmaking system and a ranking system.
- Responsible for integration of any required 3rd party components, such as payments,
analytics, authentication, etc.
- Responsible for development of internal analytics tracking, queries, and tools for
viewing and analyzing captured data.
- Advise on selection of technologies for new features or requirements that arise.
- Serve as a resource on matters of architecture, scalability, and performance.
QUALIFICATIONS
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of solid software development experience (game development a plus).
- Experience in MySQL and Ruby on Rails (or the ability to learn quickly).
- Experience with UNIX systems.
- Experience with modern bug tracking and version control systems.
- Experience scaling data-intensive applications with high concurrent-user load.
- Experience with memcache a plus.
- Experience with Unity 3D a big plus!
- Familiarity with HTTP protocol and REST architecture.
- Ability to multitask, reprioritize rapidly, and share ownership on an agile team.

A Bit Lucky, Inc. is looking for a talented Senior Game Engineer with in-depth Unity3D experience to join our core engineering team and work on high quality online multiplayer games. You will be responsible for the implementation of gameplay mechanics and the building of creative engineering solutions to fulfill our long-term game design vision. This is a highly visible position: you will work with a team of veteran game developers to develop large-scale games for multiple platforms such as Facebook, mobile, tablets and other social networks! RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop gameplay systems and user interface mechanics in fulfilling the design vision of our Chief Creative Officer and team
- Advise the team on best practices for using the Unity3D engine in a production environment
- Problem solve the implementation of various innovative multiplayer gameplay mechanics using cloud computing environments and tools
- Collaborate closely with UI designers and core engineers to integrate assets and implement features
- Work on coding key game elements with our designers, artists and other developers in a fast-moving dynamic environment
- Write clean and efficient code quickly
QUALIFICATIONS
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of solid software development experience
- 2+ years of production experience with the Unity3D game engine, targeting a mobile platform
- At least one title shipped to production using the Unity3D engine, targeting a mobile platform
- An aptitude of learning and penchant of sharing knowledge with other team members
- Someone who is open to input and enjoys working in an iterative and continual development process
PLUSES
- Instinct and understanding of good gameplay mechanics
- Solid understanding of algorithms, physics and math

A Bit Lucky, Inc. is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Executive Assistant/Office Manager to be the glue that holds the organization together. You will be responsible for running the day-to-day office affairs as well as supporting a very prominent CEO. This is a great opportunity for someone with 4-6 years of administrative experience who is ready to take the next step in his or her career path!

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Effectively manage the CEO’s dynamic calendar to keep him organized.
- Serve as and represent the face of the Company when greeting visitors to minimize distractions to the rest of the team.
- Responsible for recruiting coordination such as posting job openings to recruiting websites, screening resumes, communicating with external recruiters regarding hiring needs and candidate evaluations, and scheduling all interviews with candidates.
- Perform HR activities including benefits administration, welcome package, onboarding, and working with our HR broker for all HR-related issues as required.
- Administer payroll, benefit deductions, and PTO tracking in ADP Run.
- Handle all functions of the office including procurement, NDA management, facilities, mail, scanning, copying, printing, filing, and running occasional errands.
- Plan and coordinate events such team lunches (on and offsite), company outings, strategy meetings, etc.
- Responsible for ordering snacks and drinks for the company and ensuring the kitchen is well kept and stocked.
- Assist with general administrative tasks and ad-hoc projects as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BA/BS required.
- Exceptional attention to detail is a must.
- 4+ years supporting executives, ideally in a start-up environment.
- Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Capable of working with discretion and tact in an environment exposed to confidential information.
- Tech savvy with excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office, Google Cal and Google Docs.
- Ability to solve problems independently and work with minimal supervision.
- Detail-oriented with good documentation and organizational skills.
- Flexibility and willingness to be available during non-business hours when needed.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of basic accounting, marketing, or operations a huge plus!
