3D Game Visual Effects Artist (Contract)
3D Game Visual Effects Artist (Contract)
A Bit Lucky, Inc. is looking for a rockstar 3D VFX Artist to make our upcoming project visually stunning! You will play an integral part in the experience of the game through visual effects ranging from spells, abilities, weapon attacks, particle modeling animations, etc. The ideal candidate will have strong real-time game VFX experience as well as Unity experience. Please note this is a contract position.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conceptualize, design, and create in game visual effects
- Create dynamic real-time VFX game animations and apply compositing techniques to a variety of VFX assets
- Work with CCO and other artists to ensure consistency between vision and implementation of VFX
- Have shipped at least one AAA PC or console title
QUALIFICATIONS
1+ years experience as a VFX artist role
Art-related degree and/or comparable professional experience
Experience with VFX editors and particle systems for games
Working knowledge of Unity & Maya
Keen eye for animation and motion
Have shipped at least one AAA PC or console title
Excellent organizational skills (goal setting, working towards milestones, etc)
Unity experience is a big plus!

Senior Game Engineer, Unity3D Expert
Senior Game Engineer, Unity3D Expert
A Bit Lucky, Inc. is looking for a talented Senior Game Engineer with in-depth Unity3D experience to join our core engineering team and work on high quality online multiplayer games. You will be responsible for the implementation of gameplay mechanics and the building of creative engineering solutions to fulfill our long-term game design vision. This is a highly visible position: you will work with a team of veteran game developers to develop large-scale games for multiple platforms such as Facebook, mobile, tablets and other social networks! RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop gameplay systems and user interface mechanics in fulfilling the design vision of our Chief Creative Officer and team
- Advise the team on best practices for using the Unity3D engine in a production environment
- Problem solve the implementation of various innovative multiplayer gameplay mechanics using cloud computing environments and tools
- Collaborate closely with UI designers and core engineers to integrate assets and implement features
- Work on coding key game elements with our designers, artists and other developers in a fast-moving dynamic environment
- Write clean and efficient code quickly
QUALIFICATIONS
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent experience
- 3+ years of solid software development experience
- 2+ years of production experience with the Unity3D game engine, targeting a mobile platform
- At least one title shipped to production using the Unity3D engine, targeting a mobile platform
- An aptitude of learning and penchant of sharing knowledge with other team members
- Someone who is open to input and enjoys working in an iterative and continual development process
PLUSES
- Instinct and understanding of good gameplay mechanics
- Solid understanding of algorithms, physics and math
- Experience in Java and/or C++, CPU/Memory optimization, and cross-browser compatibility

Senior Backend Engineer
Senior Backend Engineer
A Bit Lucky, Inc. is looking for a talented Senior Backend Engineer with a strong
computer science background and experience in online, social networking games. You
will be responsible for the development of our upcoming titles, as well as internal tools
and integration of various 3rd party components. This is a highly visible position; you
will work with a team of veteran game developers and your work will be seen across
all of Facebook and other social networks. Relocation is available for exceptional
candidates.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Responsible for the development of our current and upcoming titles on Facebook.
- Responsible for the development of our cross-game platform.
- Responsible for integration of any required 3rd party components, such as payments,
analytics, Facebook API, etc.
- Responsible for development of internal analytics tracking, queries, and tools for
viewing and analyzing captured data.
- Responsible for development of internal data entry and content editing tools as required
by the producers.
- Advise on selection of technologies for new features or requirements that arise.
- Serve as a resource on matters of architecture, scalability, and performance.
Skills
QUALIFICATIONS
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of solid software development experience (game development a plus).
- Experience in Ruby on Rails and MySQL.
- Experience with UNIX systems.
- Experience with modern bug tracking and version control systems.
- Experience scaling data-intensive applications with high concurrent-user load.
